Hi all,
Kool_turk was just telling me about a voice chat program called team talk, and dial ups can use it, and andre louis has a server on there, and there's a safe haven room on there. He also told me you can create your own channel on there, and make it pass word protected or not, whichever. He doesn't know the exact url. He gave me the url, www.bareware.tk, but that's just to register a domain name. I thought from what someone told me, you have to know a moderator on there to use it, and I don't even know anyone who even uses it, not so far anyway. Anyone know anything about this program? Thanks,
wonderwoman. ps, when I get some info on it, I'm going to go and check it out, and maybe download it. I'm always taking risks when it comes to downloading new chat programs.

oh wow, I had a bit of a scare with team talk. after I installed it, I logged onto it and was looking around the menus, but I didn't connect to a server, because you have to know a persons ip address and audio port number to even connect to a server at all. Then when I hit altf4 to close out of it, I went to log on here, but jaws wouldn't see any forms, it was like it wasn't there, and when I pressed insertf7, it just said, f7, not insertf7, and I couldn't activate forms or links, not even entering on a link would bring it up. Luckily, when I shut down the computer, and rebooted it later, things were back to normal, and I got my forms and links back again. I don't think I'll be using team talk, I mean if you have to know an ip address and an audio port number, and there aren't any servers listed, and I didn't like the way it took away my links and forms mode, and I'm afraid of that happening every time I log on to it.

I'veused it, and haven't had much trouble. It's a pretty good program; I don't know what caused your jaws problems, but that's the first time I've heard of such. Also, yyou dn't need an IP address; a simple usual domain thing will work like for andre it's vt.andrelouis.com

well I typed that, but I just left the port number and audio port numbers the way they were, but it said something like failure to connect, can't use output sound system.

That would be cause the port number is different. Just go to Andre Louis's website found in his profile and click on the link. it's the easiest way I think.

Ya WW here's andre's server information, try plugging this in.
vt.andrelouis.com
then hit the more button and enter this
Host Port: 7700
Host Sound Port: 7701
Hope this helps! TeamTalk is a great program and I've no clue why it took away yoru links...

well when it did that, I had internet explorer open, and I was in the help files, so I might've had too many things on at one time. this time i just logged in and closed internet explorer, so it didn't do that this time, but i will try those ports and see if it works.

I tried looking up his profile, but he must go under something else on here, because it told me andre louis doesn't exist.

it certainly is. well if people keep telling me to do this and that and nothing works, I'll just have to give up on it, too much hassle.

Wonderwoman I told you, Nothing Works! that article in the 1970's recognised that nothing works! So your frustration is shared by the most senior civil servants in the home office. I repeat, nothing works!
